Just before his death in 1985, Rolland wanted me to have one of his pups so that he knew his bloodline would continue. When he asked me who I wanted a pup out of, my first (and ONLY) choice was his "personal dog, Penny," who was pregnant at the time. My Penny earned her first championship points at the ripe old age of 8 at the Sierra Cluster Shows in Nevada, where she went Best of Breed over major pointed specials, and also helped my daughter (Janice) earn her first Best Junior Handler award at the same show. At the 1998 WGSDCII National Specialty Show in Minneapolis, and at the 1999 National in Dallas, Texas, Penny earned the distinction of being the oldest white GSD shown. Penny is shown at the 1998 National (at 12-1/2) with Katherine and at the 1999 National (at 13-1/2). At both of these National shows, Penny also won Best of Opposite Sex in the Veterans Sweepstakes, and helped Katherine earn a first place trophy in Junior Handling. At the 1999 National, Penny also won the Brood Bitch class and earned her TDI (Therapy Dog International) Certificate, qualifying her as a certified therapy dog. During her years with us, Penny was a devoted "grandmother" to each litter of puppies. Penny was definitely my special one and I miss her more than words can say.

Charm earned her Herding Instinct Certificate at the WGSDCII™ National in 1986. In January 1999, Charm and Joyce Ann earned an American Kennel Club CD in their first three shows, and in March a Canadian CD with a nice surprise of going highest scoring German Shepherd over 12 other shepherds at the Sunday Show. Charm's constant challenge: her handler walks unsteadily and is supported by a cane, causing constant adjustments. Charm gives 100% whatever asked and steals the show with everyone she meets. Charm does her weekly job with the training classes -- she keeps the dogs in control and Joyce Ann Instructs the handlers. "Every now and then one has the joy of an incredible animal in their midst. She not only picked me out, she knows my every mood and proceeds to make mom laugh or even to make me feel better. Charm has accomplished many tests and has two obedience degrees so far and all on the first try. Onward Charm, we have more to do." (Joyce Ann Matejcek)

Shadow was my first white German Shepherd. After growing up watching Walt Disney's "Corky and White Shadow," I knew I had to have a "White Shadow" of my own. In 1978, my dream came true. There in the Sunday newspaper was an ad for ONE five week old male white German Shepherd puppy. Shadow became mine that very afternoon.

Miki earned her Herding Instinct Certificate at the 1995 GSDCA specialty in California. After emergency spay surgery, Miki set out to be the best pet she could possibly be. With the introduction of the Altered Pet Classes, Miki found a place in the ring once again, and at the 2003 WGSDCII™ National Specialty in Phoenix, Arizona, she became the Club's first "Altered Champion." At the 2004 National, Miki (competing from the Specials Class) won Best Altered and also the Penny Award (named for her mother) for the oldest white German Shepherd shown. We lost her just a few short months later.

Blue is a very nice male with correct side gait and impeccable movement. Structurally, according to the judges, he is outstanding as one of the best representatives of the German Shepherd Dog. He has a correct GSD temperament--loyal and protective with family; aloof with strangers. Blue is a WGSDCII Champion and he is OFA certified on hips as "good." He is very well loved by his family.

Atlas is one of the most titled white German Shepherds with over 74 titles, awards and accomplishments in conformation, rally, agility, dog sport, and other activities. He is the sire of the only recent American Kennel Club Champion and Canadian Kennel Club Champion German Shepherd with a white parent and is the only white German Shepherd ever to be the #1 German Shepherd dog (all colors) in the United Kennel Club (for 2005). He has ranked in the top ten of German Shepherds in the UKC for eight years running - longer than any other GSD (all colors) and was the first white German Shepherd to earn a CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) number.
He has ten conformation championships and two National Specialty Best of Breed and Grand Victor wins in the WGSDCII. He also has a National Specialty Best Opposite Sex and Grand Victor in the WGSDCA, ten Selects (six in WGSDCA and four in WGSDCII), a Best in Futurity win, a Best in Maturity win, nine UKC Best in Multi-Breed Show wins and an ARBA Best in Show win. He has several rally titles and one leg towards his AKC Companion Dog title, an agility title and a dog sport title.
